Compared to the traditional backlight types such as DLED and ELED, the QLED has a better visual performance, higher color gamut up to 97% and higher brightness up to 300 cd/m^2. More details are on the way.

In 2023, lots of LCD TVs use LED backlight instead of CCFLs since LED backlight emits less heat resulting a better longevity. However, the color performance is limited by the LED backlight quality.
