Frameless TV Solutions for Different Commercial Projects
Frameless TVs have become one of the most popular design choices for modern home entertainment in recent years. Earlier LCD TVs needed a visible frame around the panel because the display structure and side mounted COF (Chip on Film) connections required additional space and protection around the edges. As panel and display technologies have evolved, manufacturers can now achieve much slimmer and more seamless TV designs with minimal visible bezels. Many TV brands have assigned different names for their frameless TVs.
Today, frameless TVs are no longer limited to residential use. Their clean appearance and space-saving design make them suitable for hotels, apartments, retail stores, restaurants, offices, entertainment venues, and other commercial projects. For applications requiring additional front protection, we also offer a special frameless double glass TV configuration that combines a frameless appearance with a more durable glass front.

How Our Frameless TV Design Works?
Short Answer: A frameless TV uses an ultra-thin bezel, typically around 1 mm, to minimize the visible border around the screen. From a normal viewing distance, the bezel becomes visually insignificant, creating a cleaner and more immersive screen-to-edge appearance.
NOTES: Strictly speaking, today’s frameless TVs are not completely borderless. An LCD panel has a physical panel area and an active display area. A narrow non-display area remains between the active image and the physical edge of the panel. The purpose of a frameless TV design is to minimize the visible bezel around this area rather than eliminate the physical border entirely.
View from a Regular Distance
From a regular viewing distance, the ultra-thin bezel becomes visually insignificant. The screen appears to extend almost to the edge of the TV, creating the clean, seamless appearance associated with a frameless TV.
A Closer Look at the Bezel
A closer view reveals that a frameless TV still has a physical bezel around the panel. In this example, we measure the gap between the LCD panel and the metal bezel, as well as the actual thickness of the bezel. Keeping both dimensions to a minimum helps create the near-borderless appearance seen from a normal viewing distance.
The bezel is 1mm width, it has a 2mm gap between the bezel and the LCD panel. Besides, there is a "non-display" area with about 4mm width, between the physical LCD panel and the its display area.
A Deeper Look at the Display Area
Looking even closer, the LCD panel itself consists of different physical areas. The active display area is where the image is actually shown, while the non-display area surrounds it before reaching the physical edge of the panel. This means a modern frameless TV is not literally borderless. However, by minimizing the visible bezel and aligning the TV structure closely with the panel, the remaining border can become almost unnoticeable from a regular viewing distance.

For projects requiring additional front protection, our frameless double glass TV models are available in 32, 43, 50, 55, and 65 inch sizes.

20 mm Optical Distance (OD) Design for Frameless TVs
We continuously refine our frameless TV design to achieve a cleaner and more elegant appearance. One example is our specially developed 20 mm optical distance (OD) design, compared with the more common 28 mm OD structure used by many manufacturers.
A shorter optical distance allows the TV to have a slimmer side profile, making the frameless design look cleaner and more refined when viewed from the side. This structure also requires greater precision during assembly, so it is more demanding than a conventional design.
For SKD and CKD projects, we can work with local assembly partners and provide engineering guidance during assembly to help ensure the frameless structure is properly installed.
